Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL), an Italian utility company, has revealed intentions to launch a factory in the US with the capability of producing up to 6 GW of solar modules annually. Bifacial photovoltaic cells and panels are expected to be developed at this facility, which would make it one of the largest such plants in the US. Construction projects should begin as soon as mid-2023, and products are anticipated to hit commercial markets by late 2024.

Furthermore, their 3Sun plant located in Sicily will also be subject to an expansion that could reach 3GW per year from the current 200 MW.
