First solar venture from Endesa within Almeria and EGPE have established

Endesa SA, a Spanish electricity provider, has been given the green light to go ahead with their ambitious 250 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic project in Almeria province located on the country's southern coast. The undertaking, identified as Andrea, is expected to demand an expenditure of €106 million for its completion. Enel Green Power Espana (EGPE), a renewable energy section owned by Endesa, will be responsible for leading the development.
This marks the first solar venture from Endesa within Almeria and EGPE have established 348 MW of renewable power sources over different areas such as hydropower, wind turbines and biomass-based facilities in Andalusia itself. After receiving the environmental impact assessment permit, Endesa is now actively working on obtaining other necessary permissions in order to begin construction of Andrea before the end of 2024.
