2023-01-25
Renewables giant EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) has signed an agreement to provide electricity from a 180-MW portion of their 200-MW wind project, slated for construction in Indiana. The Portuguese utility’s renewable division declared on Tuesday that they will be delivering the power through a 15-year power purchase arrangement with an unnamed recipient. Though details remain undisclosed, EDPR forecasted the wind plant would be operational by 2025.
Since 2021, EDPR has added 11 GW of capacity and is moving towards satisfying its 20 GW target during the 2021-2025 timeline. By entering into this PPA, more than half of their 8.8 GW objective for North American renewables additions is now secured.
