Active Seal technology is ideal for products in continuous operation with high demands on seal leakage-preventing capability. Active Seal is a unique solution for complete leakage elimination, applicable to internal seals in a dual system and preventing fluid from entering the motor. The fluid friction in the laser-cut grooves creates a hydrodynamic effect that pumps any fluid from the stator side back to the buffer fluid side of the seal. By reducing aggregate leakage into the stator housing and/or inspection well, Active Seal increases seal reliability and minimizes downtime by reducing the risk of bearing and stator failure. Active Seal technology is available for a specific range of optional Flygt seals and Flygt double seal systems with separate individual seals.
