Flygt low suction collars are available for Flygt 2610, 2620, 2630, 2640 and Ready pumps. They allow the pump to lower the water level to the floor, keeping this level low. Often used by firefighters to drain flooded basements. In some installations, a check valve at the pump outlet can help prevent the floor from being re-flooded with drained water when the pump is turned off. The low suction block is a rubber collar that is easy to install around the pump intake filter. The flexible edge of the block is close to the floor and allows water to flow into the pump while preventing the pump from sucking in air.
